Energetic and architectural upgrading of the Pieve di Cento First Grade Secondary School (BO)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Year of the project: 2017-2018<\/p>\n

The energetic and architectural upgrading project <\/b>concerns the schoolhouse \u201cA.Gessi\u201d, used as a first grade secondary school and located on Via Circonvallazione Levanti no.61, in the Municipality of Pieve di Cento (BO).<\/p>\n

The building is developed on two floors above ground (mezzanine level and first floor) and presents an irregular shape, divided into two areas dedicated to classrooms facing west, one dedicated to offices and laboratories facing north and east, and finally one gym facing south.<\/p>\n

In order to make a reliable diagnosis in respect with the energy characteristics of the building and to find effective and efficient solutions for its own energy upgrading, a specific energy audit<\/a><\/strong> has been drafted in this intervention project.<\/p>\n

With regard to the construction works, the existing covering has been replaced with thermal insulating material, a thermal insulation has been created along the entire perimeter of the building except for the gym, whereas the single-glazed aluminium window frames have been replaced with aluminium window frames with thermal break.<\/p>\n

As regards the systems engineering interventions, thermostat valves have been installed on the radiators of the school and new pipelines for the distribution of heat has been realized.<\/p>\n
